Increased Satisfaction & Muscle Control

Instead of simply accepting this as your new normal, let us help you regain your confidence. Our vaginal rejuvenation in Newport Beach is perfect for patients helping to tighten the vaginal muscles to improve overall strength and control.

How Does Labiaplasty Work?

When receiving Labiaplasty in Newport Beach with Garrett Wirth, MD, MS, FACS- he will work closely with you prior to your surgery, designing a surgical plan that best meets your cosmetic goals.

In most cases, labiaplasty can be performed under local anesthesia combined with a sedative to make you drowsy, with the duration varying depending upon the extent of your procedure (most are completed in one two two hours).

Utilizing specialized surgical tools, Dr. Wirth will make careful incisions to remove excess tissue from your labia. Specialized scalpels, scissors, or laser methods may be used to remove tissue. The location of these incisions and the removal technique will depend upon your cosmetic goals. Once the excess tissue has been removed, incisions will then be sutured with dissolvable stitches.

What Happens After the Procedure?

Following your labiaplasty in Newport Beach, Dr. Wirth will provide you with specific aftercare and hygiene instructions. This surgery is typically an outpatient procedure, so you should be able to leave within an hour of finishing surgery. Dr. Wirth will monitor your healing and will require that you make follow up visits during the healing process.

The length of recovery and level of discomfort often varies among patients. It is common to experience some mild discomfort and swelling, which should subside over the course of two weeks. Most patients are able to resume normal activities within a few days and return to work within five days of their procedure.

Dr. Wirth will institute a “no sitting” protocol to avoid any pressure on that region during the healing process. It is recommended that you avoid engaging in penetrating sexual activity for up to six weeks. Complete healing may take up to three months.
